Recommended Cowboy Dressage® Judge Rates
As of April 10, 2016 Elaine has earned her Recommended Cowboy Dressage® Judge status. You can find her listed on the Cowboy Dressage World Professional Association directory, located on the www.cowboydressageworld.com website. As such she is qualified to judge both schooling shows and sanctioned shows. Elaine is willing to travel out of her local Richland Washington area to judge shows.
Elaine offers two different rates for judging shows. She offers a basic rate for sanctioned shows and also a more discounted rate for schooling shows because that is where we grow Cowboy Dressage® enthusiasts and Elaine wants to help promote the sport by making it affordable.
Her daily Cowboy Dressage® Judge rates include a twenty minute Judge's Talk. This explanation of what the test directives really mean can be given in the morning just before the show starts or possibly the evening before. Elaine's daily base rate covers judging of up to thirty-five rides of Cowboy Dressage® Tests. There is an option to add more rides in that day.
Elaine's transportation expenses are required in advance as a deposit to hold the show booking in her event calendar.

Added Rides Option
This option gives the sanctioned show organizer an opportunity to open the event up for more attendees.
The maximum number of rides per day needs to be determined between the organizer and Elaine. Variables such as travel time, arena size, warm up areas, rider skills, horse experience and group safety will be considered.

Show Judge Contract
Elaine will provide a contract detailing all the items she promises and expects from show management. She requests that the Day Sheet be scheduled at 7 minutes per ride.
Before the show, management needs to provide information to Elaine on who is picking her up, driving her during the event, housing her, feeding her, and all the associated cell phone numbers.
To provide a timely show and well run arena, the organizer is
encouraged to ensure good dust control, have a complete Cowboy Dressage®
Court and Challenge Court set up, provide an elevated table and chairs for the
judge and scribe, set up a hand held microphone with adequate sound system
midway on the sideline for test callers, have a ground crew on hand to maintain
court elements throughout the show, a gate steward with the Day Sheet to
ensure rides are run in order, and a runner to carry completed score sheets to
the show secretary to be tallied and percentages figured.
During the show, management provides Elaine with:

Lunch

Stretch breaks and lunch break worked into the schedule

Day Sheet with rides listed in chronological order with a minimum of 7 minutes per ride

Test score sheets, each with rider name and number, and in order of the Day Sheet

Two blank score sheets for each test offered (This helps keep the show running on time!!)
